About this course

Free Level 1 Employability Skills Course in Dudley. Classes run at Nova Training Netherton, full-time during the day.

The course is for 16 to 18 year olds and no previous experience is needed. It runs for 13 weeks and covers the skills employers look for, including communication, teamwork, job searching, and preparing for interviews. You'll also build the practical skills needed for independent living and further study.

You'll finish with a City and Guilds Certificate in Employability Skills.

Who this course is for

Employability Skills qualifications are designed to support an individual successfully gaining a job, progressing in a chosen field, preparing the individual for further study and supporting the development of techniques required for successful independent living.

This qualification is aimed at anyone who wants to live a more independent life, progress in education and/or their employment prospects; get into a job, develop on the job or move onto the next job, as they progress along the career ladder.

Entry requirements

Must be aged 16 to 18 and you don't need any previous experience in the industry already.
