Free Level 1 Employability Skills Course in Basingstoke. Classes run at Basingstoke College of Technology, full-time during the day. This is a specialist employability skills course for young people aged 16 to 25 years old with special educational needs and an Education, Health and Care Plan (EHCP). The course runs for 35 weeks. You'll study English and maths alongside employability skills classes, hear from people working in industry, and complete a supported work placement. A job coach supports you throughout.
Who this course is for
This is a specialist, full-time course aimed at young people aged 16 to 25 with special educational needs (with an EHCP). The course will lead to the NCFE Level 1 Employability Certificate and you will then undertake a supported work placement so you can develop your work skills in a safe and understanding environment. You will also study English and maths and have regular speakers and sessions from people in industry. You will also be given a �job coach� who will support you to move on to employment.

How you will learn

Your job coach will work with you regularly to track your progress and support your move toward employment or further training.
