Level 1 Computer Course. Study online at your own pace, fitting learning around your work and home life. The course is fully funded for Greater Manchester residents aged 19 or over who are assessed as having skills below Level 1. If you do not meet that criteria, fees may apply. You'll cover IT fundamentals, word processing, spreadsheets, digital communication, and staying safe online. Topics apply to both work and everyday life. The course typically takes 2 weeks. There are no specific entry requirements, though you should have literacy and numeracy skills at around Level 1 or equivalent. You'll finish with an NCFE Essential Digital Skills Qualification.
Who this course is for
The qualifications enable learners to develop the digital skills they need for life, work or further study as set out in the national standards for essential digital skills. At Level 1 the focus is primarily on digital skills for work with a secondary focus on digital skills for life. Many of the digital skills learners will acquire through these qualifications will be applicable in both life and work settings.
Entry requirements
There are no specific entry requirements however learners should have a minimum of level one in literacy and numeracy or equivalent.

Before you start, you'll have an initial assessment to confirm that Level 1 is the right level for you.
