Free Level 1 Computer Course in Ashton-under-Lyne. Classes run at Tameside College Old Street Campus two days a week over ten weeks.

The course covers five mandatory units of essential digital skills. You'll study topics such as using devices safely, handling information online, communicating digitally, and completing tasks using everyday software. There are no formal entry requirements. You'll complete a short initial assessment before you start, so the course can be matched to your level.

You'll finish with a Pearson Edexcel Essential Digital Skills qualification at Level 1.

Who this course is for

This is a part time study programme that you will be required to attend two days a week over a ten week period. Upon completion of teaching for all 5 mandatory units, youll undertake an examination. Passing this exam is necessary to obtain the qualification.

You will learn through a variety of teaching methods which will aim to meet the needs of each individual and accommodate different learning styles. These methods include case studies, assessments, group work, practical work, projects and interactive activities.

Navigate the world of online transactions with ease and security. From online shopping to digital banking, you'll gain the skills to conduct transactions seamlessly in the digital marketplace.

Being Safe and Responsible Online:

Empower yourself with the knowledge to stay safe and secure in the digital world. Learn best practices for online safety and responsible digital citizenship to protect yourself and others.
