Free Level 1 Bricklaying Course in Stoke-on-Trent. Classes run at Stoke-on-Trent College Burslem Campus, full-time during the day. This City and Guilds bricklaying qualification covers both practical skills and underpinning theory. The course runs for 34 weeks. You'll need two GCSEs at grade E to G or an equivalent Entry Level 3 qualification to join. A pre-induction interview and assessment confirms the level is right for you before you start. You'll sit an externally set health and safety test plus core and subject knowledge tests as part of your assessment.

Who this course is for

This course is the starting point for people who hope to have a career in bricklaying, and consists of both practical and theory elements. Employers will expect good attendance, good behaviour, good communication skills enabling you to interact with clients, work safely, and use initiative as well as having bricklaying skills. Achievement of the qualification will be on completion of all the units, passing externally set Health and Safety test, and externally set core and subject knowledge tests

Entry requirements

2 GCSEs grade E-G equivalant, Entry Level 3, or another relevant Entry Level qualification. You will have a pre-induction interview/ assessment to make sure this is the right level for you.
