About this course

Free Level 1 Bricklaying Course in Worthing. Classes run full-time at Northbrook MET West Durrington Campus. The course takes one year and covers the skills and knowledge you need to start working as a bricklayer. You'll train in a workshop built to reflect site conditions, taught by tradespeople with industry experience. To start, you'll need at least two GCSEs at grade 2 (F) or above, preferably including English and maths. This is a City and Guilds level 1 bricklaying qualification.

Entry requirements

To start at Level 1 you should have at least two GCSEs at grade 2 (F) or above preferably including English and maths. If you do not have the required entry grades you may be suited to an Inclusion Pathfinders course.

Assessment includes practical tasks where you demonstrate bricklaying skills to set standards, alongside written or knowledge-based assessments. Your progress is assessed throughout the course rather than in a single final exam.
