Entry requirements
To be eligible for funding for courses you must be over 19 years of age as at 31st August in the current academic year and not be an apprentice,further eligibility may be linked to where you live and your individual income.
What you will learn
You'll set up and navigate a Sage accounts system.
You'll process customer invoices and credit notes.
You'll process supplier invoices and payments.
You'll record receipts and payments in a computerised ledger.
You'll reconcile bank accounts using accounting software.
You'll produce basic financial reports from a Sage system.
How you will learn
Classes are classroom based and run in the evening over 8 weeks. You'll learn through tutor-led sessions and hands-on practice with Sage accounting software. Assessment is practical and knowledge based, testing your ability to use the software to complete real accounting tasks. Your tutor will confirm the exact assessment format before you start.
