Free GCSE Maths course in Oxford. Classes run at Oxford City Centre College, full-time during the day. You'll study for the Pearson Edexcel GCSE (9-1) in Mathematics over one year, covering number, algebra, ratio, geometry, probability, and statistics. A level 2 GCSE maths qualification is recognised by employers and colleges across the UK, and many roles in hospitality and catering, including chef positions, require it for progression. Our courses have a strong vocational emphasis and will enable you to progress to other courses in creative arts or media. You will benefit from subject-specialist teaching and excellent resources. The course is multi-disciplinary, with an emphasis on practical experimentation. Students are introduced to a range of technical processes that include: Photography, Moving Image, Animation, Drawing, Editing, Research Skills, Idea generation and creativity, . All 16–19 year olds on full-time programmes will be required to retake GCSE English and Maths or to undertake Functional Skills, if they have not already attained the equivalent of a GCSE grade 4 in these subjects, every year of their course, until they complete their studies.. How you will learn
You'll learn through classroom-based lessons at Oxford City Centre College, five days a week during the day. The Pearson Edexcel GCSE (9-1) in Mathematics is assessed entirely by written examination. There are three papers: one non-calculator and two calculator papers. Each paper is 1 hour 30 minutes. Your teacher will use ongoing classwork and practice papers throughout the year to prepare you.
