Entry requirements

None. After application you will be offered to visit your college of choice for an introduction session which will include a short assessment, the results of which will help to determine whether you are offered Functional Skills or GCSE. There will be both English Lecturers and Careers Advisors present to support and advise you accordingly so please do not worry. Please note attendance to an introduction session is required.

How you will learn

You'll learn through classroom sessions at Southampton College. The course is assessed by written exams set by AQA. There is no coursework component. Your spoken language is assessed separately and does not affect your final grade. Your tutor will prepare you for exam technique as well as subject knowledge.
