Entry requirements

Students are normally expected to have achieved grade D/3 in GCSE You will take an assessment to determine your suitablility for the GCSE Programme. If you are not ready for GCSE you will undertake the functional skills qualification

How you will learn

You'll learn through classroom sessions at Barnsley College. The AQA GCSE English Language qualification is assessed by two written exams at the end of the course. There is also a spoken language endorsement, which is assessed separately and does not affect your final grade. No coursework contributes to the grade.
