About this course

Free GCSE English. Study online, at your own pace, around your other commitments.

This course is for adults aiming for a grade 4 or above in the Summer 2027 exam series. It is intensive, so you will need to commit fully to the pace and workload. The course covers reading, writing, grammar, and communication skills. It runs to around 90 hours of study.

You'll finish with a GCSE in English Language, awarded by Pearson Edexcel.

This course is free*. To enrol on this course, you will need to talk to one of our friendly Learning Advisers. You will be asked to complete some simple tasks to make sure that this is the right course for you and that this is the correct class for your skill level. How you will learn

You study online, working through course materials at your own pace. Assessment is by written examination. The final exam is sat in the Summer 2027 exam series. Before you start, you will complete a skills check to confirm the course is the right level for you.
