About this course

Free Functional Skills Maths Level 1 Course. Study online, at your own pace, without travelling to a centre. This free functional skills maths course for adults takes around 33 weeks and fits around your existing commitments. You'll cover number, measures, and data handling at Level 1. If you don't yet have a maths qualification at Level 2 (GCSE grade 4 or above), this course is open to you. It's also a recognised step toward Level 2, the GCSE maths equivalent that many employers ask for.

Entry requirements

This course is funded for learners in the York and North Yorkshire area. If you live outside of this area, we recommend contacting your local adult education provider.

What you will learn

  • You'll use and interpret measurements, including length, weight, capacity, and time.
  • You'll read and interpret simple charts, tables, and graphs.
