Who this course is for

United Learning offer whole year funded courses for adults from Entry Level 2 to Level 2. These courses will help you feel more confident in using numbers for everyday things like money, time, distance, shape and position and gain a qualification.  Do you need to update your CV? Did you not achieve your Maths qualification through school? Are you aged 19 or over?  You will need to complete an initial assessment prior to starting the course, where it will be discussed if you meet the criteria for a funded place.

No previous experience required.  You are required to complete an initial assessment / screening of Maths levels prior to enrolment on the course – please telephone the office on 01223 712340 to make an appointment.

  • You'll interpret simple charts, tables, and graphs.
  • You'll solve everyday maths problems using the methods covered in class.

How you will learn

You'll learn in a classroom at Coleridge Community College, with a tutor guiding sessions. Assessment is through a written exam set by City and Guilds. The exam tests the maths skills you've built during the course. There is no coursework component. Your tutor will prepare you for the exam format throughout your time on the course.
