About this course

Free Functional Skills Maths Level 1 Course in Carlisle. Classes run at Carlisle Library, part-time during the day.

The course runs over 18 weeks and fits around other commitments. You'll start with an initial assessment to confirm the right level for you. Topics include working with numbers, fractions, decimals, percentages, and basic data and measurement. These are the everyday maths skills that employers and further education courses ask for. Level 1 Functional Skills Maths is a recognised GCSE maths alternative for many employers and colleges.

You'll finish with a Pearson Edexcel Functional Skills Qualification in Mathematics at Level 1.
