Free Functional Skills English Level 2 in Scarborough. Evening classes run at Scarborough Adult Learning and Skills Service, so you can fit study around your existing commitments. This is a recognised GCSE English equivalent, accepted by employers and colleges when they ask for GCSE English or equivalent. The course runs over 18 weeks part-time. You'll cover reading, writing, and communication at Level 2. A City and Guilds assessment confirms your skills at the end.

How you will learn
Classes are classroom based and run in the evening. You'll work through reading, writing, and communication tasks in a group setting, with tutor support throughout. Assessment is by City and Guilds external tests covering reading and writing. There is no coursework portfolio. You'll sit the tests when your tutor confirms you're ready.
