About this course
Free Functional Skills English Level 1 in Leicester. Classes run at Workpays Leicester, with daytime sessions to fit around your week. The course covers reading, writing, speaking, and listening at Level 1, and takes around 55 hours to complete. It builds the communication and analysis skills that employers look for across most sectors. When employers ask for GCSE English or equivalent, a Level 1 Functional Skills English Qualification is a recognised step toward that standard. You'll have an initial assessment to confirm this is the right level for you.
Who this course is for
This course is designed for people looking to improve their English skills and currently do not have a recognised qualification at Level 1. It will also help to improve employability, communication and anaylsis skills, which are helpful in all areas.
Entry requirements
Ideally, you will have completed the Level 1 course or either have qualifications already at Level 2 or are able to show working ability at Level 2.

You'll write clearly for different purposes, such as emails, letters, and short reports.
