You'll add, subtract, multiply, and divide using everyday contexts.
You'll read and interpret simple charts, tables, and graphs.
You'll use basic measures, including length, weight, capacity, and time.
You'll handle money and work out simple costs.
You'll apply maths to practical, real-life situations at home and work.
How you will learn
You'll learn in a classroom at Hope School and College, with structured daytime sessions. Assessment is through a set task and an on-screen or paper-based test set by OCR. Your tutor will support you throughout and help you prepare for the assessment. The course is designed to develop your skills progressively over the two years.
