Free Entry Level ESOL Skills for Life (Writing) Course in March. Classes run at The March Community Centre. Daytime sessions run part-time over 11 months, giving you time to fit study around other commitments. Entry requirements

These courses have no entry requirements. Following your assessment you will be enrolled onto the course that is at the right level for you.

What you will learn

  • You'll write simple sentences and short texts in English.
  • You'll use correct punctuation, including capital letters and full stops.
  • You'll spell common everyday words accurately.
  • You'll plan and organise your writing before you start.
  • You'll write for practical purposes, such as forms, messages, and notes.
  • You'll check and correct your own writing.

How you will learn

You'll learn through classroom-based sessions at The March Community Centre. Assessment is through written tasks that reflect real everyday writing situations. You'll produce written work that is marked against the Entry Level 3 standard for the qualification.

The centre will provide most materials. The March Community Centre will confirm anything else you need before you start.
