What you will learn

  • You'll listen to and understand spoken English in everyday situations.
  • You'll take part in conversations and respond clearly to what others say.
  • You'll follow and give simple instructions and explanations in English.
  • You'll express your views and feelings in short spoken exchanges.
  • You'll develop confidence speaking in a range of familiar contexts, such as work, shopping, and community settings.

How you will learn

You'll learn through classroom activities, group discussions, and speaking and listening tasks with your teacher and other learners. Assessment is practical and spoken. You'll be assessed on your ability to listen and respond in English, and to take part in conversations and exchanges. There is no written exam for this Award.
