The course runs for 15 weeks and focuses on reading in English for speakers of other languages. You'll build your ability to read and understand everyday texts in English, from signs and forms to workplace materials. These skills support you in daily life and in work.

How you will learn
You'll learn in a classroom at New City College Ardleigh Green Campus, with a teacher guiding each session. Learning is based on reading real-world texts and practising comprehension skills. Assessment is through a reading task set by Ascentis. You'll complete the assessment when your teacher confirms you're ready.
