What you will learn
You'll develop communication skills for the workplace, including listening and speaking clearly.
You'll practise working with others and contributing to a team.
You'll build self-management skills such as planning your time and taking responsibility.
You'll explore how to present yourself to employers, including how to write a CV and prepare for interviews.
You'll identify your own strengths and areas to develop.
You'll learn about workplace expectations, including punctuality, conduct, and following instructions.
How you will learn
You'll learn through classroom-based sessions at Wellington House. Learning is delivered part-time during the day. Assessment is ongoing and practical, based on the work you produce and demonstrate in class. There are no formal written exams. Your tutor will support you throughout and track your progress against the skills covered in the course.
