What you will learn
You'll work with whole numbers, including adding, subtracting, multiplying and dividing.
You'll handle money and work out simple costs and change.
You'll read and interpret straightforward tables, charts and graphs.
You'll use fractions and recognise simple percentages in everyday contexts.
You'll measure length, weight, capacity and time using common units.
You'll solve practical maths problems drawn from everyday situations.
How you will learn
You'll learn in a classroom at Roundhouse Lifelong Learning Centre, with a tutor guiding you through each topic. Assessment is through a written test set by Pearson Edexcel. You'll work through tasks and practice questions during class to build up to the assessment. The part-time daytime timetable spreads learning across 36 weeks.
