Free Entry Level 2 Functional Skills Maths in Haverhill. Classes run at Haverhill Learning Centre, part-time during the day.

The course runs over one year. You'll study number confidence, percentages, decimals, ratios, area, and graphs and charts. Classes are part-time and daytime, making them manageable alongside other commitments. There are no formal entry requirements. You'll have an initial assessment before you start, so you join the right level group.

You'll finish with a Functional Skills Qualification in Mathematics at Entry Level 2.

Who this course is for

Daytime and Evening ClassesThese qualifications are ideal for anyone looking to gain a qualification for further study, promotion or to help their children with homework. The content of the course will give you a solid understanding of topics such as number confidence, percentages, decimals, ratios, area, graphs and charts and much more. Exams are available at 3 levels and you will be assessed before starting to ensure you are in the most appropriate group.The classes will run for 16 weeks (term-time only) and each class is 3 hours in duration with the examinations taking place at the end of the course. To get the most from this course, you will need to be able to commit to the whole 16 weeks and complete directed self-study tasks at home.Course times are mornings 09:00-12:00orEvenings 18:00-21:00

Entry requirements

There are no formal requirements, but the results of initial assessments will be taken into account when deciding on the qualification and level for which you will be entered.

How you will learn

You'll learn through classroom sessions at Haverhill Learning Centre. Teaching covers practical, everyday maths tasks. You'll be assessed through a written exam set by Pearson Edexcel. Before you start, you'll complete an initial assessment so staff can place you in the right group. Exams are available at three levels.
