What you will learn

  • You'll read and understand short, simple texts in everyday English.
  • You'll recognise common words and phrases used in daily life.
  • You'll follow written instructions and signs.
  • You'll identify key information in simple written materials such as forms and notices.
  • You'll develop your understanding of how written English is structured at entry level.

How you will learn

Classes are classroom based and run in the evening, part-time. You'll learn through guided reading activities and practice tasks in the classroom. Assessment is through tasks that test your reading skills at Entry Level 1. Your tutor will support you throughout the course.
