Free Entry Level 2 Employability Skills Course in Cheltenham. Classes run at National Star College, daytime with flexible attendance. This entry level employability skills course covers the knowledge and techniques you need to find work, progress in a job, or move toward greater independence. It also supports preparation for further study. The course runs for 150 hours. You'll have an initial assessment to make sure this is the right level for you, and the college will use it to plan your learning.

Who this course is for

Employability Skills qualifications are designed to support an individual successfully gaining a job, progressing in a chosen field, preparing the individual for further study and supporting the development of techniques required for successful independent living.

These qualifications are aimed at anyone who wants to live a more independent life, progress in education and/or their employment prospects; get into a job, develop on the job or move onto the next job, as they progress along the career ladder.

The qualifications have been designed in collaboration with a range of experts from various industry sectors, training providers and employment and recruitment professionals to ensure the content matches what is needed and valued by today’s employment market, also meeting the needs for study programmes, Traineeships and TechBacs.

How you will learn

You'll learn through classroom-based sessions at National Star College, with a flexible timetable during the daytime. Learning is tailored to your individual goals and interests. Assessment is through coursework and practical tasks completed during the course. There are no written exams. Your tutors and support staff will work with you throughout to help you meet the requirements of the City and Guilds qualification.
