Free Entry Level 1 ESOL Skills for Life: Speaking and Listening in Northallerton. Evening classes run at Richmond Adult Learning and Skills Service, so you can fit study around your week. This entry level ESOL skills for life speaking and listening course runs for 22 weeks part-time. You'll develop your spoken English and listening skills for everyday situations and work, and build your understanding of English grammar, vocabulary, and pronunciation. You'll need to be 19 or over to be eligible for funding; the centre will check any further eligibility at enrolment.

To be eligible for funding for courses you must be over 19 years of age as at 31st August in the current academic year and not be an apprentice, further eligibility may be linked to where you live and we will check that at enrolment stage and may contact

How you will learn
Classes are classroom based and run in the evening. You'll take part in speaking and listening activities with your teacher and other learners. Assessment is through observed speaking and listening tasks that demonstrate your skills at Entry Level 1. Your teacher will guide you through the activities and confirm what each assessment involves before you take it.
