Free ESOL Skills for Life: Speaking and Listening course in Dunstable. Classes run at Kingsland Community College during the day, part-time, so you can fit study around other commitments. If English is not your first language, this course builds your spoken and listening skills for everyday situations: shopping, making appointments, asking for directions, following instructions, and joining in conversations. You'll have an initial assessment to confirm Level 1 is the right starting point and to plan your learning. The course runs for 120 hours.
Who this course is for
If English is not your first language, an accredited Speaking and Listening in ESOL certificate will improve your communication skills. The course will help you to listen and respond to people you are speaking with in everyday life. You'll learn how to ask questions in a supermarket, schedule an appointment, order food, and ask for directions and how to follow instructions. You'll also be able to express personal opinions and participate in group conversations.
