Free Entry Level 1 ESOL Skills for Life: Speaking and Listening course in Birmingham. Classes run at Golden Hillock Women's Centre. There are no formal entry requirements. You'll take an English assessment at the start so the centre can place you at the right level and plan your learning. The course focuses on speaking and listening in everyday English, helping you communicate more confidently at work, in your community, and in daily life. It runs full-time during the day and typically takes up to one year.

Are you 16-18 years old and speak English as a second language? Come and learn English with us. We have a range of campuses that offer full-time ESOL courses from Pre-Entry to Level 1 for 16-18 year olds. Our ESOL courses will help to support and develop your confidence with English and offer courses to suit everyone�s level and needs.
Entry requirements
Depending on your prior qualification will depend on your level of course you are enrolled onto. There are no formal entry requirements, you will take an English assessment to find out what your current level of English is in reading, writing, speaking and listening. This will help and your tutor to identify areas that you need to develop and the level of course you wil

How you will learn
Classes are classroom based, full-time, and run during the day at Golden Hillock Women's Centre. You'll learn through speaking and listening activities with your tutor and other learners. Assessment is through spoken tasks and listening exercises that reflect real everyday situations. Your tutor will track your progress throughout the course.

The centre will provide most materials. Golden Hillock Women's Centre will confirm anything else you need before you start.
