Free Entry Level 1 ESOL Skills for Life: Reading course in Liverpool. Classes run at St Helens College Knowsley Campus. Daytime sessions run part-time, so you can fit study around family, work, or other commitments. This is an entry level esol skills for life: reading qualification for people learning English as an additional language who are building their reading skills from the beginning. What you will learn
You'll recognise everyday words and short phrases in English.
You'll read simple signs, labels, and notices.
You'll understand the main meaning of short, familiar texts.
You'll identify key information in basic written materials.
You'll use context clues to work out the meaning of unfamiliar words.
How you will learn
You'll learn in a classroom with a teacher and other students. Assessment is through tasks and activities that test your reading skills at Entry Level 1. You'll complete reading exercises based on everyday texts and situations. Your progress is assessed as part of the course rather than through a formal written exam at the end.
