Free ESOL Skills for Life: Reading course in Chelmsford. Evening classes run at Chelmsford College Moulsham, so you can fit study around work or other commitments. Entry requirements

There are no entry requirements; however, you will be assessed to determine the most appropriate level/route of study for you.

What you will learn

  • You'll read and understand everyday texts such as letters, notices, and forms.
  • You'll identify key information in short written passages.
  • You'll understand the meaning of common words and phrases in context.
  • You'll follow written instructions used in daily life and work.
  • You'll recognise how texts are organised and what they are for.

How you will learn

Classes are classroom based and run in the evening at Chelmsford College Moulsham. You'll learn through guided reading activities, group work, and practice with real written materials. Assessment is ongoing throughout the course and is based on tasks and activities completed in class. There is no formal written exam.
