Free BTEC Level 3 Performing Arts Course in Hemel Hempstead. Classes run at Longdean School, full-time during the day. This two-year course is equivalent in size to one A Level, so you study it alongside other Level 3 qualifications. It covers acting and dance, building practical skills for the performing arts industry. You'll also develop communication, teamwork, and self-management skills that carry across many careers. To join, you'll need GCSE English Language at grade 5, plus a BTEC Level 2 Merit or grade 5 GCSE in Drama or Dance, or an equivalent external qualification such as a LAMDA exam.
Who this course is for
This practical work related course is aimed at creative students who have an interest in developing their
skills for the performing arts industry such as in acting or dance. Equivalent in size to one A level, you
study it alongside other level 3 qualifications making it a stepping stone to higher education if you choose
this path. It will give you transferable skills including self-confidence, presentation and communication,
self-management and teamwork that are also useful in a range of non-arts careers.
This course is available in two pathways; one for those studying primarily Drama and one for those
specialising in Dance.
