Free BTEC Level 3 Performance Course in Christchurch. Classes run at Twynham School, full-time during the day. This two-year course combines practical dance performance with academic study, covering technique, choreography, and dance theory. You'll work across styles including ballet, contemporary, and jazz, and develop skills in analysing professional works and understanding dance history. Assessment is coursework-based throughout, so there are no written exams at the end. Entry requires GCSE grade 4 or above in both English and Maths. This is a Pearson Edexcel level 3 btec performance qualification, equivalent to a single A-Level.

Are you passionate about Dance? Dance, sparks creativity, encouraging young people to be inquisitive, disciplined and determined. Dance as a subject is unique, in that it blends artistic practice with physical activity and focusses on the aesthetic and artistic qualities and the symbolic use of movement to express and communicate ideas and concepts through the interrelated processes of performance and choreography.

How you will learn
Learning takes place in the classroom and studio through practical sessions and academic study. Assessment is continuous and coursework-based throughout the two years. There are no written exams at the end of the course. You'll be assessed on your performance work, choreographic projects, and theoretical assignments as you progress.
