BTEC Level 3 Esports Course in Bradford. Classes run full-time at Bradford College David Hockney Building. The course is free for most learners, though fees may apply depending on your age and circumstances. Over two years, you'll study the structure and business of esports, from competitive gaming and tournaments to marketing, enterprise, and the creative industry. The course covers five mandatory units and ten optional units, and carries up to 168 UCAS points, making it equivalent to three A Levels. You'll take part in practical workshops and live esports tournaments throughout the year.

Esports is defined as organised competitive gaming, which is human versus human, either as individuals or in teams. The Esports industry is a fast-growing global industry with revenue projected to reach £1.5 billion in 2022. This qualification has been developed to meet the upcoming demand for skills in Esports and includes a breadth of transferable skills that enables learners to experience different areas of Esports to aid their progression to employment, either directly or via further study. Esports offers a unique opportunity to study a sector that crosses over multiple subject areas such as sport, marketing, enterprise, IT and the creative industry. This provides an opportunity for alignment of social, physical, mental and financial skills into one qualification to deepen and expand learning. These are skills that are highly valued in the changing and fluid workplace.

How you will learn
Learning is classroom based and delivered full-time over two academic years. The course uses practical workshops as its main teaching method, giving you hands-on experience alongside theory. You'll take part in events and esports tournaments throughout the year. Assessment is through a mix of coursework and unit-based tasks, including a synoptic unit. Five units are mandatory and ten are optional.
