Who this course is for

The National Extended Certificate in Digital Film and Video Production provides our post 16 learners with specialist knowledge and technical skills that will enabling entry to employment, apprenticeship, or progression to higher education. The qualification has been carefully designed in collaboration with experts from professional bodies, employers, businesses, and universities to ensure content is of the highest possible quality while equipping learners with the skills they will need for their next step. The programme is equivalent to 1 A-Level and contains 5 units of which 2 are mandatory and 1 is external. Mandatory content (50%). External assessment (33%). The course provides a technical introduction to digital film and video production skills and theory. Areas of study include sound recording, single and multi-camera techniques, digital graphics, and film editing.
