About this course

BTEC Level 3 Art and Design Course in King's Lynn. Classes run at Springwood Sixth Form, full-time over two years. It's free for some learners, and fees may apply for others. A 16 to 19 Bursary may be available. This Pearson Edexcel level 3 btec art and design course lets you explore a wide range of techniques, materials, and processes. You'll build an artist portfolio and find the area of art and design that suits you most. The course carries the same weight as one A Level, so you can take it alongside other Level 3 qualifications.

If you're thinking about art and design careers and want to to explore and develop your creative potential, this practical, work related course is for you. It will allow you to try out a range of techniques, materials and processes in art and design, help you to build an artist portfolio and discover the specialised area of study or work that most suits you. The course is the equivalent of 1 A level and you can study it in in addition to other level 3 academic or work related qualifications.

Entry requirements

To gain a place in the Sixth Form all students will ideally have at least grade 4 in both an English and Maths and at least three other GCSEs, or Level 2 qualifications, at grade 5 or above.
