You will develop a range of skills, personal qualities and attitudes that are essential for success in higher education and employment.

You will develop techniques and skills by undertaking a series of set assignments that incorporate a range of learning experiences.

You will also have the chance to work in conjunction with practising artists, work to live briefs and attend various art trips.

You will have the opportunity to showcase your work in our school exhibition space.

Entry requirements

There are no specific entry requirements for this course. As long as you haver a passion for Art, Craft and design. This course will be right for you. You will only need an average GCSE point score of 3.6 to get into our Sixth Form. Studying Art previously, is an advantage, but is not compulsory. .

How you will learn

Learning is classroom and studio based, with a strong practical focus. You'll complete coursework, projects and assignments throughout the two years. Assessment is largely portfolio-based, with work marked against Pearson Edexcel criteria. There are no traditional written exams for most units. Your teachers will give ongoing feedback to help you develop your work before final submission.
