Free BTEC Level 3 Applied Science Course in Harrogate. Classes run at Rossett School, full-time during the day. You'll need five GCSEs at grade 4 or above, including at least grade 4 in two sciences, to join. The course covers atomic structure, animal and plant cells, and the application of science across industries including forensics, pharmaceuticals, and sports science. You'll develop practical skills and scientific report-writing through observation and experiment. The course takes one year.
Who this course is for
Science is everywhere in today’s world and part of our daily
lives. The Applied Science course explores the fundamentals
of science through observation and experiment. The course
includes topics such as atomic structure, animal cells and
plant cells, to the applications of science in different industries
including forensics, pharmaceuticals and sports science.
This course is a more practical application of science and will
require students to develop their scientific report-writing skills.

How you will learn

You'll attend daytime classroom sessions at Rossett School, where learning is built around observation, experiment, and applied scientific investigation.
