Free BTEC Level 2 Art and Design Skills Course in Southend-on-Sea. Classes run full-time at South Essex College Southend Campus. This free btec art and design skills course is free for UK learners under 19 who are not in employment. Over 12 months, you'll build a portfolio of creative work, develop 2D and 3D skills, and apply research to your own art and design projects. You'll work through project briefs that stretch your ideas across drawing, communication, and time-based creative work. Entry requires a Level 1 qualification or two GCSEs at grade 3 or above in Maths or English, plus an interview.
Who this course is for
This one-year course will develop your art and design skills for progression onto further education and/or employment. You will have the opportunity to learn how to build a portfolio of work and gain the skills to use research to create your own art and design work. You will work to exciting project briefs and apply specialist skills to extend your 2D and 3D capabilities. You will learn how to generate ideas and apply them into a range of creative possibilities.

You'll also attend an interview event before the course starts and may be asked to bring a portfolio as evidence of your creative ability.
