Free BTEC Level 1 Land Based Studies Course in Grays. Classes run at USP College Palmers Campus, full-time during the day. The course runs for one year and introduces you to animal health, welfare, and safe working practices. You'll also develop communication, planning, and presentation skills. Maths and English are included if you haven't yet reached grade 4 at GCSE. There may be trips to local animal attractions and guest lectures from industry professionals. This level 1 btec land based studies qualification is a strong starting point for further study or an apprenticeship in the animal care sector.
Who this course is for
Level 1 Animal Care at Seevic Campus is an ideal course for a school leaver and is designed as an introduction to college and will focus on the personal, social and employability skills you will need to progress to further study in the Animal Care sector. Applicants also have the opportunity to progress onto Level 2 Animal Care or programmes such as the Supported Internship course or an apprenticeship (depending on factors such as maths/English grades & attendance).
