About this course

Access to HE Social Work Course. Study online, at your own pace, fitting learning around work and other commitments. The course is available to learners aged 19 or over. If you are 23 or under and hold no prior Level 3 qualification, a tuition fee waiver may be available. Others pay a standard fee. You'll need Level 2 qualifications in both English and Maths (GCSE grade C/4 or above, or Functional Skills Level 2) before you enrol. The course takes one year and is recognised by UK universities as meeting entry requirements for degree-level study.

Entry requirements

Successful completion of current course(s),To enrol on this Online Access Diploma, you must have already achieved Level 2 qualifications in both English and Maths (equivalent to GCSE grade C/4 or above, or Functional Skills). Please note that it is not permitted to study English and Maths concurrently with the Online Access Diploma.

How you will learn

This is a self-directed online course. You study at home, working through materials at times that suit you. You'll be supported by a team of subject specialist academic assessors who give feedback on your assignments and guide your progress. Support staff are also available for additional advice. Assessment is by written assignments throughout the course. There are no exams.

East Sussex College Eastbourne will provide your study materials online. You won't need to buy books, though you may choose to supplement your materials with additional reading. The college will confirm anything else you need before you start.
