Who this course is for

Are you looking to pursue your favourite subject at university but don’t quite meet the entry requirements? Designed for adult learners, our Access to HE qualifications bridge the gap between GCSEs and higher education and are recognised by many universities in the UK.

Entry requirements

Applicants are required to be 19 years or older at the start of the course. Applicants need to demonstrate a good level of literacy and numeracy, and hold at least a Level 4 in English GCSE.

What you will learn

  • You'll develop an understanding of the English legal system and how it operates.
  • You'll study key areas of law, including contract law, criminal law, and tort law.
  • You'll analyse legal cases and apply legal principles to real scenarios.
  • You'll build academic writing and research skills needed for university-level study.
  • You'll practise constructing legal arguments and presenting them clearly.
  • You'll develop critical thinking skills through the evaluation of legal sources and judgments.

How you will learn

You will study in a classroom setting, attending daytime sessions throughout the week. Assessment is through a combination of assignments, essays, and coursework completed over the year. There are no formal exams in the traditional sense. Work is marked against set criteria and graded as Pass, Merit, or Distinction. You will need to meet a minimum number of credits across the units to achieve the Diploma.

What you will need to bring
