About this course

Free AAT Level 2 Certificate Accounting Course in Chichester. Daytime classes run at Chichester College, from 12.45pm to 5pm, part-time over 10 months. If you have less than 12 months of experience working in an accounting office, the college recommends starting with the AAT Level 1 Award in Bookkeeping first. You'll also need a good standard of English and maths before you begin. The course builds core accountancy skills alongside transferable business and communication skills. It suits those entering the workplace or changing careers into finance and accounting.

Who this course is for

This is the day time course from 12.45pm to 5pm. There is an evening alternative available from our website (6pm to 8pm on Mnndays and Tuesdays.)

Students should choose the Level 2 Certificate in Accounting if they are interested in developing transferable business and personal skills alongside their core accountancy skills. This qualification may also be valuable for those entering the workplace for the first time or for those changing careers who would like additional support in upskilling to enter, or re-enter, a business environment.

The Level 2 Certificate in Accounting covers a broad range of manual and accounting software skills, as well as accountancy related business skills and personal skills.

Entry requirements

Previous accounting experience and knowledge plus Excel usage is an advantage: you will be advised of the best starting point at interview.

Students should begin their studies with a good standard of English and Maths. Accountants work at the very heart of a business and are expected to be able to communicate information clearly and appropriately to a given audience.
