What you will learn
You'll learn the fundamentals of double-entry bookkeeping.
You'll record financial transactions accurately in books of prime entry.
You'll understand how to process sales and purchase ledgers.
You'll apply bookkeeping controls to check the accuracy of records.
You'll prepare and reconcile control accounts.
You'll use the trial balance to check that accounts balance correctly.
How you will learn
You'll attend daytime classes at Heart of Worcestershire College on Tuesdays. Teaching follows the AAT AQ2022 syllabus. Both modules, Introduction to Bookkeeping and Principles of Bookkeeping Controls, are assessed by computer-based assessments. There is an assessment fee of £120, a one-off AAT registration fee of £79, and textbooks cost approximately £40. The centre will confirm payment details when you enrol.
