Free AAT Bookkeeping Course in Barrow-in-Furness. Classes run at Furness College Channelside Campus, full-time during the day. This level 2 AAT bookkeeping qualification covers the core skills employers look for in bookkeeping and accounting roles. The course takes one year to complete. You'll work through topics including double-entry bookkeeping, purchase and sales ledgers, and basic financial statements. What you will learn

  • You'll apply double-entry bookkeeping principles to record financial transactions accurately.
  • You'll process transactions in the sales and purchase ledgers.
  • You'll prepare and reconcile bank statements.
  • You'll produce basic financial statements including trial balances.
  • You'll understand the principles of VAT and how to apply them in bookkeeping.
  • You'll use control accounts and journals to manage financial records.

How you will learn

You'll study in the classroom at Furness College Channelside Campus. Assessment is through AAT computer-based exams, which you sit at an approved test centre. Your learning will combine tutor-led sessions, practice exercises, and exam preparation. There are no coursework portfolios for this qualification. All units are assessed by external examination set and marked by AAT.
