Who this course is for
You have passed your Speaking and Listening Entry level 1 exams and/or understand and speak English at a pre-intermediate level. You may not have passed Reading and Writing at Entry level 1 and hence, have not achieved a full Entry level 1 qualification. In this course, you will develop Reading and Writing skills at Entry level 1 and Speaking & Listening at Entry level 2. Each term includes all four skills but focuses on a specific skill for the exam taken in that term. When you pass each unit you will receive a certificate for that particular unit. At the end of Term 1 (September to December), you will take the Reading exams.

You will take an initial assessment, which will determine your current level of English. You may join this course, if your assessed level is below the standards at Entry Level 1.

How you will learn
You'll study in a classroom at Morley College London Waterloo Campus on weekday evenings. Each term covers all four skills (speaking, listening, reading, and writing) but focuses on one skill for the exam taken that term. Assessment is by formal exam in the skill unit studied that term. You must pass each unit to progress.
