We offer ESOL courses from Pre-Entry to Level 2. To ensure you're on the right course, you'll need to take an English language assessment before you start. We'll help you find the perfect level for you.
What you will learn
You'll develop skimming and scanning skills to read texts more efficiently.
You'll read and understand different types of texts, including everyday and work-related materials.
You'll identify the main points and key details in written passages.
You'll understand how texts are organised and why writers use different styles.
You'll build vocabulary for reading in real-life and work contexts.
You'll practise reading texts at Entry Level 3 standard.
How you will learn
You'll study in a classroom at Parkshot with other adult learners. Teaching is delivered face to face during evening sessions. You'll be assessed through reading tasks set at Entry Level 3. Assessment is carried out by Ascentis and is based on your ability to read and understand a range of texts. Your teacher will support your progress throughout the course.
