What you will learn
You'll develop your reading skills in English at a pre-intermediate level.
You'll read and understand everyday texts such as signs, notices, and short passages.
You'll build your vocabulary to help you understand written English more easily.
You'll practise reading for meaning, identifying key information in texts.
You'll prepare for the City and Guilds Entry Level 2 reading exam.
How you will learn
Classes are classroom based and run in the evening. You'll learn through guided reading activities, group work, and teacher-led practice. Assessment is by a formal reading exam set by City and Guilds. Before you enrol, you'll attend an Advice and Guidance day at the college, where you'll take a short test and speak with a teacher to confirm this is the right level for you.
