Entry Level 1 ESOL Skills for Life: Speaking and Listening in Basildon. Classes run at Centre for Digital Technologies Basildon, part-time on evenings over 12 months. This is an entry level ESOL Skills for Life: Speaking and Listening course for people who want to improve their spoken English for work, for everyday life, or for their career. There are no entry requirements. You'll have an interview and assessment with an ESOL teacher before you start, so the centre can plan your learning.
Who this course is for
This course will help you improve your English for work, your career or help you in your everyday life. In the classes you will study a range of skills including writing and speaking. We have classes that run in the daytime and evening. Please contact us for days and times.

What you will learn
You'll develop your spoken English in everyday situations.
You'll practise listening and understanding spoken English.
You'll build confidence speaking in work and daily life contexts.
You'll learn how to take part in simple conversations.
You'll understand and respond to basic spoken instructions.
How you will learn
Classes are classroom based and run in the evening. You'll learn through speaking and listening activities with your teacher and other learners. Assessment is through practical tasks that test your ability to speak and listen in English. There are no written exams for this Award. Your teacher will assess you during the course.

The centre will provide most materials. Centre for Digital Technologies Basildon will confirm anything else you need before you start.
