Early Years Educator Level 3 Course in Wallsend. Classes run at Swans Centre for Innovation, part-time during the day. What you will learn
You'll develop the skills and knowledge to support children's learning and development from birth to five years.
You'll understand child development across the 0 to 7 age range.
You'll learn how to plan and deliver activities that meet children's individual needs.
You'll build knowledge of safeguarding, health, and welfare in Early Years settings.
You'll complete a Longitudinal Study, tracking a child's development over time.
You'll practise observation and assessment of children in a real placement setting.
You'll cover the ten mandatory units required by the DfE's Level 3 Early Years Educator criteria.
How you will learn
You'll attend monthly taught classroom sessions at Swans Centre for Innovation, supported by regular individual tutorials with your tutor. Assessment is through an e-portfolio of evidence, which includes assignments, observations of you working with children, reflective accounts, professional discussion, and a Longitudinal Study. A minimum of 350 placement hours in an Early Years setting is required. You'll need access to a computer, iPad, or tablet to complete tasks in your own time. A minimum attendance of 80% is required.
