Early Years Educator Level 3 Course. Work-based training at your workplace. You train while working in a childcare setting, building your skills on the job over 13 months. The level 3 early years educator course covers working with children from birth to 5 years, with knowledge of children aged 5 to 7 years. Level 3 is the qualification recognised in statutory staffing ratios for nursery work in England. You'll need to be at least 16 years old to enrol.

The Level 3 Diploma for the Early Years Workforce (Early Years Educator) prepares learners to become Early Years Educators, enabling them to work with children from birth to 5 years and gain knowledge of children aged 5 to 7 years.
Entry requirements
You should be at least 16 years old. We do not set any other entry requirements but colleges or training providers may have their own guidelines
What you will learn
You'll develop knowledge of child development from birth to 7 years.
You'll learn how to plan and deliver activities that support children's learning and development.
You'll understand how to keep children safe, including safeguarding and welfare requirements.
You'll learn how to observe and assess children's progress.
You'll develop skills in supporting children's communication, language, and literacy.
You'll understand how to work in partnership with parents, carers, and other professionals.
You'll learn about inclusive practice and how to support children with additional needs.
How you will learn
You learn in your workplace, applying skills directly in a real childcare setting. Assessment includes observations of your practice, a portfolio of evidence, and written assignments. You'll be observed by an assessor who visits your workplace. Some units are assessed through professional discussion. Assessment is ongoing throughout the 13 months.

The centre will provide most materials. Pyramid Training Services will confirm anything else you need before you start.
